‘Makes Me Feel Like'

It's excellent
To catch up again
You can meet all my friends
…I hope you like them
I'd have lost my head
Without their combined strength
So, please try your best
Not to judge or condemn

Or disapprove
Or deride
My new, improved lifestyle

I can't describe
What this makes me feel like
I can't deny
That I get a real high
I've longed all my life
For something to make me right
And now, it's arrived…

It's been so long –
But we've lost nothing in common
Some things must look wrong
But I have all I want
I swear I'd be long gone
Without such reason to keep on
And now I'm at least as strong
As I was weak in ‘01

The truth
Is no one sees quite
What you do, in these eyes

I can't describe
What this makes me feel like
I can't deny
That I get a real high
I've longed all my life
For something to make me right
And now, it's arrived…
