Evening Mr. Officer, I'm just passing by
It's been such a long day, and now I
Would like to return as quickly as possible to my
Little home, and my little bed, and have a little cry

It's so very heartening
To witness multitasking
Android cops at the frontline
Their zealousy's a touch chronic
But I guess the electronics
Must be prone to overheating at times

Evening Mr. Officer, I don't want a fight
I have friends and I have family who I imagine just might
Not appreciate my sudden absence from their everyday lives
Or hefty funeral bills in these economically unstable times

The guardians of the land are
Military standard
Robot thugs with riot shields – nice
They're wherever we go
Oh, the thought makes me feel so
Loved-up and safe and warm at night
