‘Falseface'
I was turned away from everywhere I went
And I was dismissed by everyone I spoke to
And I was told that I was not ‘economically viable'
And I was ignored by those I'd previously been close to
And I was rejected universally
And I was feared and distrusted because, apparently
My nature is too ‘honest' and I look too ‘genuine'
And I would do well to think on these things
My phone was tapped and my computer hacked
And I was followed around by black cars
And I was branded a ‘liability'
And I was kicked and punched by complete strangers in the dark
And I retreated inward and I became depressed
I suffered mental torture for staying true to myself
So if the whim ever takes you to spread a little human kindness, or bring
Light into the lives of others, first pause and think on these things
Think on these things.
